| Greetings from Hokkaido, which has been declared to be in a state of emergency due to the Coronavirus. Japan has also closed all public schools until the end of March, and urged people to refrain from going out as much as possible. As a result, we have had to postpone a few of our ministries, including a new moms fellowship group with a church we plan to partner with. The church we regularly attend has temporarily switched to live feed only worship services. As the Coronavirus has spread throughout the world, we pray for the Lord’s protection on us all. いつもお祈りと尊いご献金をありがとうございます。皆さんお元気に過ごされておられるでしょうか。北海道では緊急事態宣言が出されて、しばらく外出を控えなければなりません。そのため始めようとしていた協力教会での子育ての学びや地域での子育てサークルを延期したり、普段通っている教会の礼拝がビデオ礼拝に変更したりしています。世界中の大騒ぎの中で皆さんの健康が守られますようにお祈りしています。 In previous prayer letters (March and July 2019), we mentioned two divine encounters with people we are currently ministering with. Last month, God led us to meet the director of a support center for people with mental disabilities. The mission provides jobs for these people in their bike repair shop, takoyaki shop, and craft workshop. Most important to this center is their one-on-one Bible studies and weekly worship services, as their main purpose is to share the gospel with those they are supporting. Our vision to reach out to the weak and needy is very similar, so we are praying about how we may be able to partner with them in the future. 去年3月号のプレヤーレターで牧師家族、また7月号でファミリーホームの管理者との素晴らしい二つの出会いについて書きました。先月、神様がもう一人を出会わせてくださいました。その方はキリスト教系の障がい者支援事業所の運営者です。そこで色々な障がいを持っている方は再生自転車の販売店やたこ焼き・たい焼きの店、ハンドメイドグッズの工房などで職業を得ることができ、そして週一回の礼拝や一対一の聖書の学びもあり、福音も聞くことができます。運営者は私たちと同じような社会的弱者支援のビジョンを持っているので、今後何らかの形で協力したいと考えています。 It is amazing that God has provided through these three divine encounters so early on in our ministry, so we can work together in bringing the gospel to the weak and needy in our area. We are so excited to see what God has in store for us next! 神様がこのように3回の出会いを通してミニストリーの協力者を備えてくださいました。同じようなビジョンを持ち、世の人たちへの証をしている影響力のあるクリスチャンにまた出会えて神様に感謝します。神様のご計画は本当に楽しみにしています！ “Be very careful, then, how you live- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15,16 「そういうわけですから、賢くない人のようにではなく、賢い人のように歩んでいるかどうか、よくよく注意し、機会を十分に生かして用いなさい。悪い時代だからです。」エペソ5章15、16節 |
| Please pray for us! Here are our prayer requests for March: 1. For wisdom and direction as we consider ministry opportunities with our new partners 2. For protection for our family and those within our ministry (particularly the residents of Hosanna Home) from COVID-19 3. That we may be able to use this opportunity to share the gospel with those we come in contact with 4. That through our home fellowship and prayer meetings, our former co-workers will be encouraged to grow in their faith and share the gospel with others. Prayers being answered! We finished our foster parent training, and if we are accepted, will be able to receive a child sometime this Spring. Through this, we will be able to share God’s love to a precious little child, and also meet other foster parents and children, so it is a very important ministry to us. Thank you so much for your support. We are so blessed to have you ministering alongside us with your prayers and financial gifts.
